Reviewer´s Reaction: Due to bizarre set of circumstances, Dirty Tricks´ Texas dates were totally screwed up. Some putz booking agent in New York got them some dates, all right, but in some substandard places. To the band´s credit, they came off as a really good bar band. Their first set was straight rock and roll, including one tune from the current album and a dynamite version of “You Really Got Me”. Forced to play under less than adequate conditions, I though the band came through and really shined. Much thanks to Jerry Jaffe of Polydor New York.
